We recently returned from the SYS-CON’s 3rd International Virtualization Conference & Expo, held at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City, June 23-24. The conference hosted a slate of exceptional speakers — representing both the larger industry players such as RedHat (Brian Stevens), Citrix (Simon Crosby), VMware (Stephen Herrod) and also a very engaging group of virtualization startups executives. The conference, although relatively small in scale, delivered a very knowledgable, engaged and high powered audience. Speakers made a series of high-quality presentations not only of the basic value propositions for adopting virtualization (consolidation, optimization of resources, flexibility etc), but also painted a compelling vision of the future — in which virtulization is set to fundamentally alter the manner in which businesses of all sizes implement IT overall.
A good percentage of the attendees we met over the two content packed days and most who attended the VMLogix presentation (you can access our presentation by logging in to our VMLogix Virtual Portal) were actively engaged in rolling out virtualized labs and showed keen interest in our VMLogix LabManager product. If you attended the show and would like to followup on our offer of a free LabManager evaluation license, please contact us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org and reference the conference meeting (alternatively, you can make an evaluation request on our website). We look forward to hearing from you and are very confident that even a short evaluation effort will allow your organization to realize the many real benefits of virtual lab automation.
Finally, a reminder that VMLogix was nominated for ‘Best Virtual Lab Automation’ solution for the SYS-CON’s Virtualization Journal Virtualization Readers’ Choice Awards. SYS-CON’s Readers’ Choice Awards, also known as the “Oscars of the Software Industry” has been one of the most prestigious industry award programs for more than a decade. This year’s virtualization awards will be given in 17 categories and award-winning products and services will be selected by Virtualization Journal readers. If you are well wisher and supporter of the VMLogix LabManager product suite, could I urge you to cast your vote on the Virtualization Journal’s website (open June 23 – November 15, 2008).
